Nike Production Planner II in St. Charles, Missouri

WHAT YOU BRING

Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience.

  • One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law +1 yr; Masters + 0-3 years; Associates degree + 1-3 years; High School +3-5 yrs.

  • Strong Excel ability, including setting up automated spreadsheets & building complex formulas

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing

  • Desire to work in teams to achieve a common goal

  • Ability to prioritize & manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous advance planning system experience a preferred

  • ASCM CPIM or similar planning certification a plus.

  • Experience with Tableau a plus.

The Air MI Planning team drives strategic plans that enable demand growth and customer service through optimization in capacity, inventory, and production scheduling.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Production Planner II needs to be curious, have a tolerance for ambiguity and possess the ability to work both collaboratively & independently, while combining that with a solid understanding of planning best practices and the ability to utilize data analysis to drive decision making. Continuous improvement and change are required to be successful and adapt to the changing requirements of our consumers and business.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you will work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Operations and Logistics, Finance, External Sales, Factory Partners, and Purchasing. You will analyze demand signals and inventory strategies to generate a detailed schedule that optimizes manufacturing efficiency while ensuring customer service goals are met.

A typical week will vary and include the following:

  • Utilize, develop, and communicate innovative and effective solutions to unique or complex Air MI challenges and opportunities in support of targeted operational and business priorities and objectives.

  • Purchase and generate forecasts for key raw materials to support production plans.

  • Maintain planning system data integrity.

  • Work with key partners to advance planning system analytics and reporting to understand requirements and improve opportunities to drive knowledge into action.

  • Lead cross functional teams and/or projects as needed.

  • Work independently and take initiative to identify, explore and solve problems.

  • Build new best practices and processes as needed to address internal/external business challenges.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will be a key member of the Global AirMI Planning team reporting to the Manufacturing Planning Manager. You will support and build positive relationships with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Operations and Logistics, Finance, External Sales, Factory Partners, and Purchasing.
