The Gund Company is hiring for an Application Engineer to work in the Business Development department. If you are looking for a fast-paced, challenging role where you will constantly learn new products, applications, and work with new customers, this is the position for you.
As an application engineer, you will develop technical expertise and understanding of customer applications to assist customers with engineered solutions and support the development of new products for the market.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Serve as the subject matter expert for customer applications with an ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders how our products and services can satisfy customer requirements
Support new product development projects from research, through planning and implementation
Support customer relationship development and visit processes by serving as the subject matter expert in customer meetings (conference calls, virtual meetings, face to face, etc)
Develop marketing content (data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, advertising materials, technical video, webinar, application engineering profile, etc.) to promote our technical expertise.
Assist Market Director with market gross profit, sales trends, and quote follow up analysis and corrective actions that lead to strategies for market growth
Assist Market Director with supplier development projects
Assist Market Director with the development of internal training documents and internal sales team training
Maintain customer and market strategy documentation in CRM
Qualifications and Competencies
Ability to understand customer-s application requirements and translate that into understanding into internal capability development
Ability to explain technical product information to customers
Strong interpersonal skills
Electrical, plastics, composites, or elastomeric experience preferred
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
3-5 years of experience working as an engineer
Manufacturing experience preferred
