KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Monitoring and Events Management to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.


  • Increase visibility of potential issues to pro-actively reduce risk and & maximize the availability of IT infrastructure & services while improving Mean Time to Restore during outages

  • Oversee the support of monitoring tools including SCOM, SolarWinds, and Nectar in a centralized organization as new tools are onboarded

  • Develop a strategy, roadmap, and communications plan for the support of client centric dashboards that provide a comparison of actual operating level performance metrics against design standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Progress and enforce detection & interpretation of events and the appropriate actions to avoid the business impact of such events

  • Ongoing support of service assurance, enhanced reporting, and service improvement

  • Manage a highly skilled team with the ability to switch between personnel management and the more functional technical management, as required


  • Minimum of eight years’ experience in IT operations, in a large scale organization with experience supporting converged infrastructure stacks, including: application, hypervisor, compute, storage and networking supporting diverse portfolios, multiple business applications and IT services

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

  • Demonstrated experience with Service and Event Management Tools to set goals that meet the strategic initiatives for a team to foster the development of high performance while interfacing with all levels of the organization by settings resource plans, structures, organizational priorities, governance of the Event Management and Monitoring program

  • Experience working in a 24x7 IT operations environment

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and workflow by using interpersonal skills to provide a detailed, deadline, and result-oriented organization that motivates and encourages the team to meet their strategic objectives
