Our Supply group is responsible for brewing, packaging and shipping the famous Budweiser beer. They also oversee aluminum can manufacturing, barley fields, hop farms and a rice mill. Life in supply is non-stop action with high-speed lines, tight production schedules and unbelievably high quality standards. In this CAPEX Project Manager role out of our St. Louis headquarters you would be a member of the Beyond Beer team. This role is a great opportunity that entails not only full cycle project management, but additional responsibilities of consulting with our Supply Leadership and Mergers and Acquisitions teams to help identify and scope new opportunities. Here is more on both aspects of the role:

New Business Opportunities:

  • Supply CAPEX lead for due diligence studies for potential acquisitions within Beyond Beer business unit

  • Develop order of magnitude scope of work documents along with high level budgetary estimates and timelines for review with the Supply senior management as well as Finance and Merger & Acquisition team

  • Collaborate with other departments to align on proper scope and approach – Innovation, Logistics / Footprint, Finance / PPM, M&A and Procurement

  • Make recommendations as to most feasible options as well as benefits and challenges for different scenarios to the Supply operation

Project Portfolio Management:

  • Lead front end planning (FEP) process for Beyond Beer projects for the North America Zone (including ABI Breweries Adjacency Sites)

  • Support site teams as well as Zone Raw Materials, Brewing, Packaging and Innovation groups with project scope development

  • Prepare and present projects to Supply senior management for funding approval

  • Interface with Procurement for equipment and construction sourcing

  • Engineering and equipment supplier management

  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule

  • Oversee project performance monitoring, tracking, and reporting

  • Assist in development of budgets and priorities for Beyond Beer for 1- and 3-year capital planning efforts

Job Qualifications

  • ChemE, ME, EE or equivalent technical degree

  • 5 years project engineering experience

  • Food and Beverage experience preferred

  • Ability to develop high level project scopes, estimates and timelines independently

  • Ability to initiate/lead cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects

  • Capable of handling safety, cost, schedule and change as related to project execution

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required

  • Strong customer focus

  • Travel required – Typically up to 25%
