Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is in the Department of Psychiatry. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: Provides skilled support for treatment studies. This position is responsible for completion and submission of Institutional Review Board (IRB)/Regulatory documents for clinical trials research in the Healthy Mind Lab, and for managing the relationships necessary to do so. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Responsible for aspects of IRB submission, approval, revision and annual reporting; maintains regulatory documents and compliance with regulations and protocols. 2. Acts as liaison with clinical trial sponsors and principal investigators. 3. Serves as liaison between the lab, local and state government agencies, and other participating agencies; provides consulting assistance to various organizations. 4. Contributes to the design and creation of communications and recruitment tools, coordinates meetings among community, faculty, research teams, and support staff. 5. Maintains appropriate study-related regulatory documentation including developing and managing recruitment materials and developing IRB protocols and managing continuing reviews and modifications. 6. Assists with grant application development and submissions. Other Functions: 1. Monitors and orders supplies necessary for study. 2. Prepares information packets for patients enrolled in study. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; prior work experience, preferably in clinical research support, is highly preferred; a combination of relevant work and education equaling four years may substitute for this requirement. Preferred Qualifications * Experience conducing human subjects research. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Able to build, negotiate and maintain professional relationships with a broad range of people including medical professionals and study personnel. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Time management and prioritization skills are needed to meet deadlines. * Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat/Pro. * Effective problem solving skills. * Able to exercise sound judgment as well as independent and effective decision making. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is $43,326 - $54,204 annually.
