Enterprise Holdings is powered by technology. As a diverse team of idea enablers and problem-solvers, our more than 2,000 innovative IT professionals design, develop and drive the tech that is redefining how customers rent, buy and share vehicles from our family of brands — which includes Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental.
Here, you will be part of a team that creates and delivers powerful solutions for more than 10,000 branch locations and 100,000 employees across the world with the resources and support to develop in a variety of career paths. This is your opportunity to join a new and transformative organization within Enterprise Holdings, Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics (CEDA). CEDA recently combined two innovative and established functions, Data and Analytics. As a member of CEDA, you will have an opportunity to help shape and progress the insights and platforms for a global industry leader.
As an Engineer 3 in CEDA you will design, develop and modify many different elements of technology. You will be required to understand advanced methods, theories and research techniques that establish ongoing direction and implementation of the technology vision and strategy. You will be expected to serve as a subject matter expert in multiple areas of technology that will represent the team in a positive manner within and outside of the department. You will be leading implementations and providing viable recommendations for implementing new solutions. You will be providing instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments; ensuring deadlines are met. Collaboration with Architects will include identifying and recommending adjustments to the architecture to improve overall quality, implementation strategies, and integration of our solutions. You will also be required to monitor key performance metrics to ensure compliance of established standards, processes, and procedures. In addition, you will be expected to mentor less senior team members in order for them to develop and advance their own careers.
In this role you will build enhancements to existing data platforms. You will also collaborate with others to develop new data pipelines. You will need to work in a data first mindset. You will use advanced technologies and programming languages including Spark, Scala, Java and more to engineer our data tools in a way that allows for us to optimize our information, make better decisions and meet our customer’s needs.
