Lead ZBS Packaging Support strategic initiatives such as GLY Improvement initiatives, material quality, conversions, GOP development, Package Optimization, etc.
Work with equipment OEMs & external suppliers to assist with raising their performance & quality, reducing their variability and implementation of new or improving technology, to increase overall brewery performance & quality.
Identify gap opening, closing and sustaining improvement opportunities to obtain cost and performance related targets
Manage and develop monthly reporting cycle KPI decks and associated information
Maintain and update all packaging technical standards, policies, procedures, as well as requirements associated with packaging materials.
Support new projects, innovations, major maintenance activities, and Champions ideas
Support brewery teams, operating departments and project teams (innovations and engineering) on technical issues associated with packaging and/or packaging materials. Visit facilities as needed to support start-ups, chronic problem resolution, as well as routine auditing functions
Provide technical & process expertise to teams and customers. Mentor and/or assist with development of Packaging BPMs/MQIMS/SMEs with less experience throughout the breweries
Maintain sustainability of the assigned systems, processes or databases for packaging support and/or packaging materials.
Support breweries in achieving KPI metrics acting as a ZBS site support resource or a material commodity expert for NAZ breweries
BS degree in physical science, engineering, or technical field required. Chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering degree preferred.
3-5 years manufacturing experience in a Packaging/Quality/Brewing/Fermentation/Utilities environment with an exposure and understanding of maintenance/engineering systems. Packaging experience preferred
Ability to adapt to systems and system management quickly
Must possess strong understanding of Key Performance Indicators and how they relate to the business
Ability to communicate with and have impact and influence on network of brewery resources including senior managers
Mechanically inclined to understand the packaging and systems processes, strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; Belt methodology and/or lean methods experience a plus
Business travel required
