What you'll do

As an Enterprise Quality and Compliance Manager you will be responsible for multiple locations in maintaining the quality management system that conform to applicable compliance standards and customer requirements.

This challenging environment requires a passion for quality and adaptability to a job shop environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Represent Company to quality system certification organizations.

  • Represent Company during customer audits to successfully facilitate and coordinate certification processes.

  • Work in conjunction with Quality team to develop quality assurance plans by conducting risk analyses and preventative measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions and verification procedures.

  • Maintain and improve quality processes by arranging for internal compliance and surveillance audits.

  • Provide servant leadership to support the quality function across multiple sites.

  • Coordinate responses to customer complaints by overseeing corrective action and preparing written correspondence

  • Meet financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

  • Work in conjunction with Quality team to maintain the Supplier Qualification Process with purchasing team to evaluate whether external providers are meeting requirements per quality system, business, and customer requirements.

  • Work in conjunction with Quality team to develop, organize, and facilitate regularly scheduled training with team leaders and staff as needed to implement quality and corporate compliance, skill competence and system improvement efforts.

    Skills and Qualifications

  • Subject matter knowledge in business trends, management process techniques, measurement tools and quality systems

  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system software

  • Ongoing participation in and knowledge of state of the art business trends, management process techniques, quality systems, and measurement tools through continuing education

  • Work independently or as a team member to achieve stated objectives

  • Ability to support multiple plant locations which may require travel up to 25%

Education and Experience

  • 5-10 years of practical experience or an equivalent amount of education and experience in the development, implementation and continual improvement of a Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in low volume, high variety manufacturing is preferred

  • The ability to provide leadership and guidance in the application of quality practices throughout the company.

  • Ability to lead or coach a team in problem and process evaluation activities and make appropriate recommendations to aid in their resolution.

  • Strong work ethic, oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
