Jacobs is currently looking for an entry level Landscape Architect to work for our Advance Planning Group to be part of the national Urban Planning and Design practice in our St. Louis location.
Under supervision the ideal candidate will work with the Team Leader, Project Manager, or Department Manager on complex and novel assignments requiring design, planning, and landscape architectural solutions with state of the art thinking and techniques. The position is required to integrate technical and administrative activities with multiple design teams of Architects, Engineers, other design professionals and/or sub-consultants and contractors that are in multiple locations across the US.
Key tasks include research, design, and planning on a variety of site planning, landscape architecture and master planning projects (i.e. campus & community plans, land use & master plans, and site design) for private and public clients.
The candidate must be able to develop site plans, landscape plans, irrigation design and project detailing from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration; participate in public, client and internal workshops to include presenting data, design and findings and develop written documents, reports and master plans and other written documents.
Develop illustrative graphics, images and visual presentations.
Required skills for this job include the ability to collect, organize, interpret, and present data in creative ways to team members and clients
Excellent written, graphic, and oral presentation communication skills required
Experience working in GIS (ESRI v 9/10), CAD (Microstation or AutoCAD), Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, and MS Office (including Power Point required
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution required
0-3 years of professional experience required
US born citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance required
A valid US driver’s license required
Travel both domestically and internationally with occasional extended stays required
Experience with Land F/X preferred
BIM (Revit) is preferred
