JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading all aspects of Environmental Health and Safety for the Skaneateles Falls, NY Plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: – Other duties may be assigned:

S/he will demonstrate strong business acumen that includes experience working with business partners at various levels and functions.
Excellent communication and project management skills are required, including the ability to lead cross functional teams, produce and maintain timelines, manage multiple commitments and assemble project information into clear, concise written reports.
Execute the company’s EH&S strategy
Monitor EH&S compliance and performance and work closely with business unit leadership to develop annual EHS plans and objectives
Driving installation of programs and business processes that promote sustainable operations and continuous improvement in EHS compliance and performance
Supporting the investigation of significant EH&S events, sharing learnings, and implementing corrective and preventative actions
Providing EH&S oversight to capital projects
Ensuring EH&S requirements are included in capital and operational budgeting processes
Improving EH&S knowledge transfer, capability and competency at all levels
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering and/or closely related subject - Must
Master’s degree – preferred
Minimum of 7-10 years practical industrial experience with increasing levels of authority and responsibility, including both site and corporate experience is required
Must have or be able to pursue EHS Certification. (Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Manager, etc.)
Experience in the medical device industry is a plus
Knowledge of EHS regulations and practical experience in the installation of EHS management systems
Strong leadership, management, communication and influencing skills are required
