Fortive Corporation Field Support Engineer- Vibration Analysis in St. Louis, Missouri
We are seeking a Field Support Technician to join our team in Gurnee, IL.
In this role, you will help provide field support to the condition monitoring product line by providing remote and on-site technical application support as appropriate. You will be responsible for installing sensors, commissioning , alarm setups, technical report generation based on remote vibration data and providing corrective recommendations to customers.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide field support and remote technical support to the condition monitoring product line from a technical standpoint
Assist customers in the design and deployment of good condition monitoring solutions using new product line
Troubleshoot customer’s condition monitoring issues over the phone or in person by accessing/measuring vibration readings and analyzing the data
Provide technical vibration expertise and be the subject matter expert to our customers and sales team.
Train the sales force and channel partners in condition monitoring basics and how to use new product so they can more effectively sell to our customers
Travel with the sales team and do remote or on-site product demonstrations
Be the technical expert in Voice of the Customer calls and help translate customer feedback into product features that to continuously enhance our condition monitoring products
Help grow the business by identifying additional use cases and markets to sell new product

We are seeking a results focused candidate that posses the following:
Excellent in-depth technical knowledge level of vibration monitoring and analysis (category 2 or higher)
Mastery of basic and advanced analytics tools (TWF,FFT, harmonic locators, peak enveloping, PeakVue etc.)
3+ years experience of vibration/condition monitoring experience in the field
Strong data analysis capability, and ability to troubleshoot assets remotely through access to vibration readings
Very strong knowledge of on-line continuous condition monitoring systems and of route based condition monitoring methods and systems (e.g., SKF, Emerson)
Strong knowledge on critical assets in heavy duty industries (e.g., paper, steel, mining, etc.) would be a plus
Ability to develop best-in-class preventive/predictive maintenance programs
Ability to travel to customer sites, lead “lunch & learns” and product demonstrations and train internal and external partners in vibration space
