Reporting to the Senior Landscape Architect, or Group Manager, this individual will provide project support relative to overall design and team efforts.
The Advanced Planning Group (APG) offers pre-design, planning, and site design services to a variety of government, institutional, military, and corporate clients. These services include feasibility studies, visioning sessions, project development studies, design guidelines, master plans, and landscape architecture & site design.
Perform routine aspects of landscape architecture design under the direct guidance of a Senior Landscape Architect/Designer.
May use computer-assisted engineering software and equipment to perform design tasks.
Collect, organize, and evaluate large amounts of data.
Will interact with a project team and client to communicate the results of analysis and describe design concepts.
Assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
Provide support to APG staff members as needed.
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, in their final three years of study, from an accredited Landscape Architecture program
Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills required
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management required
Ability to work and thrive in a team environment required
Strong problem solving skills required
Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision required
Writing, graphic, and verbal presentation skills are a must, as are basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Computer graphic skills such as AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe Illustrator are required
Experience in GIS preferred
US-born citizenship required
