The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a
Mid-Level Capability Growth Systems Engineering Technician
to join our team located in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Technician will be a part of the F/A-18 & EA-18G Capability Growth team and work with a group of diverse engineers and analysts to develop new capabilities for the F/A-18 and EA-18G. You will also be supporting leadership in making decisions on development of new system concepts.
Support engineering analyses by pulling data together, ensuring adequate configuration management of studies and associated data, and supporting analyses and evaluations as needed.
Supporting development and dissemination of briefs to Boeing and customer leadership outlining future F/A-18 and EA-18G concepts.
Supporting analyses of fleet operational needs, fleet maintenance and logistical impacts of future capabilities, and assessing trends.
Supports systems/specialty engineers in defining requirements, developing trade studies, performing analyses, and controlling associated data and information.
Gathers, tracks and analyzes reliability, maintainability and health monitoring data. Participates in failure reporting.
Assesses and verifies maintainability design. Coordinates the development of certification and aviation regulatory proposals and plans and verifies compliance to requirements.
Develops and supports implementation of certification processes, tools and procedures.
Works under general direction.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
This position requires the candidate to obtain a DOD
Secret clearance (Final Post-Start)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of military aircraft logistics or maintenance experience (F/A-18 or EA-18G maintainer experience)
3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Previous F/A-18 or EA-18G plane captain experience
Experience with MS Excel and trend analysis
Experience building and presenting plans or recommendations to executive leadership
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor + 1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
This is a First/ Morning shift position.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
