This position is in the Department of Neuroscience. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
A full-time position for a postdoctoral research associate or staff scientist (12 calendar months) with expertise in electrophysiology is immediately available in the Bonni laboratory in the Department of Neuroscience at Washington University School of Medicine. This individual should be familiar with electrophysiology in acute slices of the rodent cerebellum, cortex, or hippocampus. Experience with the acquisition and analyses of neural circuit properties including basal and evoked neurotransmission and LTP/LTD as well as cell intrinsic properties is preferred.
The chief goal of the Bonni laboratory is to identify the key principles and mechanisms that govern the assembly and function of neural circuits in the mammalian and to determine how deregulation of these fundamental mechanisms contributes to the pathogenesis of neurological disorders. We employ a diverse array of tools from mouse genetics to genome-wide studies to imaging, electrophysiology and behavior. The appointee has earned a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree.
Demonstrated ability to implement laboratory procedures, conduct research and records findings.
The hiring range for this position is commensurate with experience.
