Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences in the Somers Family Hall on the Danforth Campus. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Washington University in St. Louis, to work on a research project funded by the James S. McDonnell Foundation to investigate issues in collective memory. The researcher will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data and helping to coordinate projects among investigators. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Design experiments and studies. 2. Collect data and supervise data collection. 3. Write manuscripts and give presentations. 4. Supervise students and staff researchers. 5. Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications * Ph. D. degree (or about to be awarded one) in psychology, sociology, anthropology or a related field. * Solid background in research design and statistics. Preferred Qualifications * Research experience in studies of both individual and collective memory. * Good programming and data analysis skills. * Ability to work as part of a team. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Experience with SPSS and/or R statistical programs, Excel, programming (e.g., Python). * Expertise in making graphs and presentations. Salary Range Base pay commensurate with experience.
