Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is in the Department of Neurology. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: Act as liaison between PI and national and international foundations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Correspondence. Edits, proofreads, and maintains correspondence and letters. Provides input to Dr. Gutmann and his team on responsiveness of letters and correspondence with respect to their intended purpose. 2. Grants. Works directly with Dr. Gutmann and team members in identifying and preparing required documents for grant submission. Provides input to Dr. Gutmann and team members regarding the responsiveness of the prepared grant submission to the grant call for applications. The grants are often complex with multi-component applications. In addition, post-funding, works with Dr. Gutmann and team members to prepare progress reports, manage project timelines and coordinate project meetings. 3. Finance management.Manages overall grant/account management for awards, ensuring charges are appropriate and follow established agency/university guidelines, and monitors related financial activity. Advises Dr. Gutmann and team members on matters of fiscal concern, to include short-term and long-term planning for personnel sourcing and effective use of fiscal resources. In addition, supervises purchasing functions, ensuring maximum utilization of fund in accordance with university and sponsor requirements as applicable for donated funds, university-provided funds, grants, and industry-sponsored funds. 4. Manuscripts. Participate in the preparation, submission, and revision of manuscripts with Dr. Gutmann and team members, and facilitates the publication process. 5. R25 grant program. Coordination of R25 resident grant program for Neurology, including establishing meetings, assigning internal grant reviews, maintaining accurate records of funded and unfunded applications, and ensuring successful submission of grant-related documents 6. Neuro-Oncology educational program. Coordination of medical student and Neurology resident Neuro-Oncology elective, including establishing meetings, updating rotation schedules, and submitting student/resident evaluations. In addition, coordinates the seminar series. 7. Research operations.Management of laboratory research operations, including employee interviews, hiring onboarding, as well as coordinating collaborator meetings, and social media content (e.g., website, Twitter). Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related subject with five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling nine years. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated ability and expertise in handling varied aspects of grant administration and management. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is $47,986 - $61,194 annually.
