Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is for the Brown School Evaluation Center. The position is located at Hillman Hall. This position is for the Danforth Campus. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: A qualified individual is needed for a research assistant position with the Brown School Evaluation Center. The research assistant will contribute to the design and implementation of several evaluation projects. The research assistant will primarily work on a research project focused on effective approaches for the safely reopening of K-12 schools and includes understanding the barriers and facilitators to COVID-19 testing and vaccinations. This position will support the recruitment, facilitation, analysis, and synthesis of qualitative data gathered from students, parents, and staff. Additional responsibilities include supporting the community advisory board and additional community partners engaged in the project. The research assistant will work as part of a team and individually to perform duties and responsibilities required to meet project needs. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manage and conduct the literature reviews to inform evaluation design and implementation. Analyze and synthesize existing literature. 2. Assist with the scheduling and conducting of focus groups and interviews with students, parents and staff. Analyze the qualitative data and contribute to the synthesis and reporting of the findings. Assist with any management and analysis of quantitative data collected via surveys. 3. Develop reports, summaries, and other dissemination products, including producing graphics and assisting with layout. 4. Support project team meetings and stakeholder engagement sessions by developing meeting materials and summaries, and assisting with facilitation. 5. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, social sciences, organizational management, or other related field. * Two years of relevant work experience. * Experience performing literature search, summary, and analysis. * Experience with writing research/evaluation reports. Preferred Qualifications * Master’s degree in public health, social work, social sciences, or other related field. * Experience with data collection and analysis. * Proficient computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Highly dependable and organized. * Excellent people skills. * Ability to work independently or as a part of a team. * Ability to work with multiple project teams at any given time. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is $15.46 - $20.88 per hour.
