This position is in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Oncology. This position is for the Medical School Campus.
There is an opportunity for research in the laboratory of Dr. Arora, which studies the biology of bladder cancer. We take an integrated view of bladder cancer biology, studying both tumor cell biology and tumor microenvironment, with the goal of identifying novel strategies to target tumor tissue. A central focus is on the development of therapeutic strategies targeting nuclear receptors. Currently, we have a position to assist with projects evaluating the role of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors in bladder cancer oncogenesis and immune evasion.
Bachelor’s degree required. Candidates with more education and experience are encouraged to apply.
- Master’s or doctorate degree.
- Prior experience in cell and molecular biology, mouse genetics, and/or immunology.
- Troubleshooting skills, independent analytical thinking and research planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate with the laboratory staff and investigators.
- Ability to maintain complete and organized records/reports.
- Working knowledge of computer software and general lab equipment.
Base pay commensurate with experience.
