IBM Technical Business Development Executive – Workplace Virtualization in St Louis, Missouri

Your Role and Responsibilities

Digital Workplace Services Business Development Executives create and maintain strong, trusted client relationships at all levels within the client's business. They develop and progress new client sales opportunities, work with solution architects to design DWS solution recommendations for their clients, and provide technical sales assistance to other sellers involved in opportunity pursuits.

The DWS Business Development Executive is responsible for:

• Lead new sales opportunity development and qualification in partnership with client account teams and other IBM sellers

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships

• Provide technical sales assistance to other sellers who are less familiar with the DWS offerings

• Develop sales strategies for new client pursuits

• Lead client presentations to articulate solution capabilities and benefits

• Gather client requirements

• Team with solution architects and partners in the development of the technical solution which best meets the clients needs

• Assist in development of an opportunity pricing approach that will position IBM competitively with the client while ensuring profitable business

• Assist in the development and presentation of client proposals

• Work collaboratively with other teams across IBM and with other partners

• Mentor other sellers and teammates

• Lead new sales opportunity development and qualification in partnership with client account teams and other IBM sellers

This is a demanding role best suited for the individual passionate about Digital Workplace Services, knowledgeable about services sales processes, and IBM's DWS offerings. Resource must be willing to endure the pressures of the services profession, desire to have impact within IBM, and drive a high standard of quality to enable business success for the DWS business.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

1) Deep technical understanding of workplace virtualization solutions and technology

2) 5+ years of direct sales experience

3) Understanding of Digital Workplace Services offerings and solutions

4) Strong client relationship experience

5) Ability to team and work with internal and external partners
