Nestle Maintenance Utilities in Trenton, Missouri
The following job description is for a Utilities Operator. Shift assignments will be based on preference and seniority within the classification, as per current practice within the Boiler Operator classification. Scheduling will be based on 3x8hr shifts, with a time off rotation similar to current practice. Overtime eligibility and pay will be calculated as per Article 10 of the CBA.
Due to the extensive training requirements, interested individuals must meet certain minimum eligibility standards to bid on this position:
Must be a currently qualified Maintenance Technician II or above (a Maintenance Technician II certification demonstrates knowledge and skill in the areas of pneumatics, print reading, welding, electrical, lubrication, plumbing, rigging, machine shop, and mechanical disciplines).
Must be able to obtain and maintain LOTO certification; operator s licenses for forklift, scissor lift, and other specialty equipment as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Must demonstrate an aptitude for Ammonia / HVAC operation.
Must attend and satisfactorily complete boiler and refrigeration training courses within 90 days of the first day of training (this requirement may be amended at the Company s sole discretion based on availability of training, funds, etc.).
Duties will include day to day operation and monitoring of boiler, refrigeration, and waste water treatment equipment in the Trenton facility; preventive maintenance and repair of the same; general maintenance and repair of the Trenton facility; other maintenance or repair duties as required.
Proper completion of all required documentation, including but not limited to maintenance records, operation records, defect and repair logs, etc.
Training and qualification standards for this classification may be modified based on changes to plant equipment, such as (but not limited to): the addition of new equipment and/or the deletion of existing equipment; upgrades to equipment or processes; adjustments in procedural or regulatory requirements; etc.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete training for ammonia hazard response.
