THE DOE RUN COMPANY Engineer in Viburnum, Missouri

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Civil/Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering projects for surface and underground operations at our Southeast(SEMO) Mining and Milling divisions. Surrounding areas include Farmington, Boss, Bunker, Viburnum, etc. Successful candiates must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and experience working as an engineer. Project planning and project management skills are highly preferred. Responsibilities:Responsible to provide guidance and technical support to South East Missouri DivisionsMonitor and inspect current facilities and construction and maintenance projectsManage maintenance projects by coordinating internal and external resources, selecting and supervising consultants and contractors and the selecting and purchasing of equipmentProduce design and specs for projectsOther projects and duties as assignedExperience and Education:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering requiredFive to ten (5 - 10) years of hands on engineering experience requiredExperience using AutoCADProficient user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PwoerPoint and ProjectKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must be an effective communicator (verbal and written), able to offer technical expertise and guidance, building rapport with department team membersAbility to plan and manage projects efficiently and effectively Ability to use appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build cohesive project teams and facilitate the completion of projectsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to lead and influence othersBased in St. Louis, The Doe Run Company is a privately held natural resources company and one of the largest integrated lead producers in the Western Hemisphere.
