Coca Cola Blow Molding Manager has primary responsibility for the efficient and economical utilization of labor, materials, and assets, while employing process improvement techniques to improve overall quality and efficiency. The ILBM Manager will be responsible for building process, developing tech skills, enhancing the process and ownership of overall department
Function Specific Activities:
Blow Molding Manager Duties:
Plans, coordinates and directs activities within the blow molding area to attain maximum output, with high quality and minimum cost.
Oversee the Blow Molding equipment and mold maintenance.
Collaborates with Production Planning in planning work schedules.
Maintains control over necessity of sufficient work force and prepares schedules for department staff.
Supervises the daily activities of production staff for all shifts.
Identifies repair priorities based on the daily production schedule and ensures that all required equipment is operable.
Plans and implements effective procedures and policies to maintain all equipment is in top working condition to minimize downtime; daily supervises preventative maintenance on auxiliary production equipment.
Provides technical knowledge and expertise to solve blow molding problems such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic to blow molding.
Adheres to strict quality guidelines established such as weights, neck measurements, wall balance and thickness etc.
Promotes, monitors and maintains high quality standards for all department functions.
Develop overall training plan for techs to drive knowledge and efficiency
Maintains recipes and develops recipes to drive quality, efficiency and out put
Develop maintenance plan for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly rebuilds to optimize cost
Manager will be required to organize team and work between 3 to 4 plants to share knowledge and drive competence
Blow Molding Manager Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Plastics Engineering or related field preferred
5-10 years' experience in Blow Molding/Operations Management or plastic processing field.
Excellent communication and managerial skills are required.
Experienced with or leading maintenance activities including troubleshooting controls and hydraulic systems.
Must be familiar with programmable logic controllers; able to read and sketch mechanical drawings.
Demonstrates initiative and motivation and excellent math skills.
Must have a knowledge or process controls and able to work independent with limited directions
