Job Summary: Set up and processes titanium sheets through the chemical etch procedure to comply with customer specifications.Fundamental Duties: Measure and label test strips for processingMark and label sheets for Shear testsIdentify and mark defectsCalculate proper etch rates/removals per customer specificationsPull and maneuver titanium sheets through the pickle tankLoad and unload skids with forklift from tablesSafely fill a new acid tank with Hydroflouric acid and/or nitric acid or DeSmut per Standard Work Procedure (SWP)Maintain and record temperature of the acid tank and caustic and pH levels for scrubberSafely operate dryerSafely maintain HR and Nitric Acid levels to tanksProvide daily acid samplesSafely discharge spent acid or water from tanksUse micrometer, thickness gauge (vidigauge), and tape measure to measure thickness and dimensions before and after etching process to ensure correct removal has been achievedTraining of other employeesOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDMust be 18 years of age or olderEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
