LMI Aerospace Quality Inspection 1 in Washington, Missouri
Summary: With minimal supervision, the Quality Inspector will be expected to perform in-process inspection and first article inspection checks in order to verify conformance to customer requirements. While performing all duties and responsibilities The Quality Inspector will at all times, model LMI values and principles and act in a manner consistent with the LMI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Perform in-process inspection on completed orders at various inspection points throughout the process including Inspect before Processing, Inwork Inspection, and 100% Inspection
Perform First Article Inspections by hand with a variety of inspection tools.
Able to set-up and run parts on CMM.
Have an understanding of customer requirements, material traceability and certification requirements
Communicate/Execute Shift Passdowns and job related information that represent customer’s needs
Maintain an organized clean and safe environment

High School Graduate or the equivalent
Education or experience in machining environment preferred
Specific Job Skills:
Must have experience with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers height gauge etc..
Must have general math knowledge and be familiar with the decimal system
Must have basic computer/keyboard knowledge
Must be able to read and understand dimensions and tolerances of blue prints

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time. Must be able to move throughout the manufacturing area and talk, hear or otherwise communicate with employees, management and others. Operator will be required to lift up to 25 pounds without resistance occasionally.
Work Environment: Normal work environment requires individual to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when on the shop floor.
Special Requirement: The ability to work extended hours to accommodate customer requirements, including possible weekends, as required.
