Business Profile Titanium Metals Corporation, or TIMET, was founded in 1950, is an American manufacturer of titanium-based metals products, focusing primarily on the aerospace industry. Location Profile The Wentzville, MO serves as the North American Service Center. TIMET provides production and value-added services around the world including a complete range of mill product shapes and finishes provided in cut sizes ready for machining, forging or fabrication. The NASC plant provides a value added services and custom products such as: water cut jetting, sawing, shearing, coil cutting to length and slitting, and machine billet prep. The plants commonly handle the following types of titanium: billet, bar, coiled sheet and strip, sheet and plate. Position Summary Responsible for planning and scheduling all warehouse production activities. Maximize throughput to meet daily, weekly and quarterly shipping and docking targets. Backfills as a lead operator to the produciton floor as necessary Primary Duties and Responsibilities Update, revise and maintain Machine Schedule Tool to maximize throughput, minimize variable cost and reduce variability. Level load work centers and improve production efficiencies. Troubleshoot and develop corrective actions to overcome unanticipated bottlenecks caused by maintenance/quality delays, work force limitations, etcetera. Build schedules to achieve docking targets, via optimization of throughput and aligning equipment capabilities with backlog statement of work. Maximize throughput to meet production targets, through effective implementation of planning strategies, including, but not limited to: Material stacking Optimize sequence of cutting/processing Reduce setups Recalculate and refine Production Planner s projected run/processing times to reflect efficiencies gained from process optimization.
